Pawsibilities is an inclusive pet care training and paid internship program designed exclusively for neurodiverse individuals, hearing impaired and mild locomotor disability who aspire to build meaningful careers in the pet care industry. The program combines structured hands-on training, real-world work exposure, and paid internship to create sustainable employment pathways. It focuses on building practical skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Program Structure & Curriculum

A structured journey combining training and paid work exposure:

Phase 1: Pet Care Foundations (Month 1 – Training)
Introduction to professional pet care, animal behaviour basics, hygiene standards, safety protocols, and daily care routines for dogs and cats through structured hands-on practice.
Phase 2: Applied Pet Handling & Grooming (Month 2 – Training)
Hands-on learning in pet handling techniques, basic grooming assistance, feeding routines, cleaning, and maintaining safe pet environments under supervision.
Phase 3: Workplace Readiness & Independence (Month 3 – Training)
Focus on workplace behaviour, communication, time management, following routines, and preparing for real-world pet care roles with continuous mentoring support.
Phase 4: Paid Internship & Real Work Exposure (Months 4–6)
Three months of paid internship with real responsibilities in pet care settings, supported by on-ground mentors and aligned with long-term employment opportunities.
